Description of service/program:
Open enrollment runs November 1 – November 30 and is the month when Ohio Medicaid members can review the available plans and select the plan that best fits their healthcare needs.
Members can select a new plan by using the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline Portal at www.ohiomh.com or by contacting the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at 800-324-8680. Representatives are available 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Service limitations (income, geographic, hours, etc):
MEDICAID HEALTHY START – KIDS BIRTH THROUGH 19 / PREGNANT WOMEN:
- Covers children age birth up to age 19 in families earning up to 206% of Federal Poverty Level, and pregnant women earning up to 200% of Federal Poverty Level.
- Must live in Medina County and be a citizen or legal resident alien.
- Families earning up to 156% of Federal Poverty Level are permitted to have other insurance.
- Children in families earning more than 206% of Federal Poverty Level may not have any other applicable insurance.
MEDICAID HEALTH INSURANCE – AGES 19-64:
- Adults age 19-64 who are not currently receiving Medicare.
- Must live in Medina County and be a U.S. citizen.
- Financial eligibility is based solely on income, and is set at 138% Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
MEDICAID HEALTH INSURANCE – AGED OUT OF FOSTER CARE:
- Serves those age 18 through 26 who have aged out of foster care and who reside in Medina County.
MEDICAID HEALTH INSURANCE – BUY-IN FOR WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES:
- Serves residents of Medina County age 16 to 64 who are U.S. citizens or qualified aliens.
- Must be determined disabled by the Social Security Administration or by Ohio Medicaid.
- Must be employed in paid, taxed work (full- or part-time).
- Premiums are required for those with annual gross income greater that 150% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
