Rent and Utility Payment Assistance
Description of service/program:
Provides emergency financial assistance for rent and utility bill payments. Funding is limited and may not always be available. By appointment only.
Service limitations (income, geographic, hours, etc):
Serves residents of the City of Brunswick, Brunswick Hills, Valley City or Hinckley. Due to very limited funds, most assistance may be available every 12 months per household.
- Must have shut-off notice for utility assistance.
- Must go through Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) first, if applicable for gas or electricity assistance.
