Communicable Disease Control

Description of service/program:

The Medina County Health Department closely follows the mandate of the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for reporting and control of communicable diseases.

Anyone can report a communicable disease. The “ABC’s of Communicable Disease” includes a list of all reportable, communicable diseases.

For after-hours public health emergencies, please call 1-888-723-9688 and when prompted, press 5 to be transferred to the Medina County Sheriff Dispatch (this option is provided for public health emergencies ONLY – not general calls, appointment requests, or to leave staff messages).
