Ombudsman
Description of service/program:
Ombudsman works on a case-by-case basis to help individuals and families access services and supports, navigate systems and develop skills to become self advocates.
Provides support in many areas including, but not limited to:
Identifying service providers
Obtaining an Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Determining guardianship
The Medina County Ombudsman also helps resolve problems and concerns any individual or family may face by taking messages forward to the appropriate provider and acting on the individual’s best behalf.
